Lung cancer is the most common form of cancer related deaths in the Western world. In the United States there are approximately 200,000 new cases/year and around 160,000 deaths /year. The development of minimally invasive techniques to diagnose and treat lung cancer, particularly in frailer patients, is important if we are going to make an impact on this disease.
