The Electronic Health Record Certificate of CompletionProgram was developed in conjunction with the Office of the National Coordinatorof the Department of Health and Human Services Department of the Federal government.

Federal government has indicated that training in a 6-month certificate program is required. It is estimated that there is a national shortage of 51,000 workers who are prepared to implement, support, and train healthcare providers in the use of the electronic health record (EHR).

The campus option offers courses on Saturdays and Sundays every other weekend in eight-week terms, with an online component.
